Apologetics for the New Evangelisation

A four-day introduction to Catholic Apologetics at Buckfast Abbey

Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th August 2018

Come and learn how to give reasonable answers to difficult questions about the Catholic faith. Examine the Scriptural foundations of the Church’s teachings so that you can be always prepared to give a reason for the hope that is within you (1 Peter 3:15).

Fr Guy de Gaynesford and Dr Christina Pal lead the teaching team for this course. Fr Guy is the Rector of the School of the Annunciation. He has  a Licence in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Dr Christina Pal is a convert to the Catholic faith and has a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome.

When does it start? 

The course begins at 5.30 pm on Thursday 9th August and finishes at lunch-time on Sunday 12th August 2018.  The residential programme is designed to include talks and seminars in the context of experiencing the rhythm of daily prayer of the resident Benedictine monastic community.

Accommodation: Northgate House

The course takes place in the tranquillity of the monastic surroundings, on the banks of the beautiful river Dart, and includes full board and en-suite accommodation at Buckfast Abbey's Northgate House

How much does it cost?    

The fee for the four days is £345. This fee includes accommodation and full board at Buckfast. In addition, there is a non-refundable registration fee of £50.

Special Price: Book two summer-courses for a special price of £650. Pay only one registration fee of £50.
